Thank you for visiting my Sing-a-Thon fundraising page!
I am so excited for our 2nd annual Sing-a-Thon!
This is my 6th year with TCWC and have found myself feeling extremely lucky to be a part of this wonderful, musical, funny, and passionate community. Communities that sing together are stronger and more compassionate. The Twin Cities Women's Choir and Twin Cities Girl's Choir are exemplars of communities that sing together. Singing to empower and singing to uplift.
In WWII there was a group of women in a labor camp in Sumatra that decided in order to survive they should sing. They sang arrangements of the world's most famous instrumental music in an a cappella choir. "Song of Survival" is the title of this incredible true story. At our last Divas and Desserts concert we sang one of the pieces that was performed during WWII. It was a moving experience to sing the notes and put ourselves in their 'shoes'. We understand the power of music and it's ability to help us survive.
Please consider a donation of any size. The money we raise will help women across the metro area to continue to sing together and create a compassionate and musical community.
