What's a Sing-a-Thon?
The Sing-a-Thon is a fundraiser benefitting the Twin Cities Women's Choir and Twin Cities Girls' Choir. On October 28, our own singers and guests will perform all day long, 30 minutes at a time, to support us in empowering women's and girls' voices.
- $1200 sponsors a full season of singing with the Twin Cities Women's Choir for one woman.
- $750 sponsors a full season of singing with the Twin Cities Girls Chorus for one girl.
Who are we?
The Twin Cities Women's and Girls' Choirs are a diverse community that sings, performs, and affirms the voices of women and girls.
The Twin Cities Women's Choir has performed with Monroe Crossing, Ann Reed, Bruce Henry, Aimee K. Bryant, Brianna Lane, Joan Griffith, the Brass Messengers, and the Hi-Bs (to name a few). We've performed at the Fitzgerald Theater, Orchestra Hall, and the Guthrie Theater. We've performed for community and civic organizations. We've performed the national anthem for the Minnesota Lynx, the Minnesota Twins, Minnesota United FC, and Gopher Women's Basketball.
The Twin Cities Girls' Choir has performed for community and civic organizations, on KARE11 Sunrise, the national anthem for Gopher Women's Hockey, with the Minnesota Orchestra for their annual Scandinavian Christmas production, and in collaboration with many other Twin Cities youth choirs.
We are committed to making the choral experience accessible to women and girls of all economic backgrounds. The Twin Cities Women's Choir does not require dues or purchase of concert attire. The Twin Cities Girls' Choir is committed to remaining financially accessible to girls through its scholarship program. We receive some funding through grants, but we rely primarily on contributions from our own singers, community, and audience. While we're committed to being self-supporting, no one is ever turned away due to lack of financial resources.
